On June 19, the Highway College held an enrollment promotion mobilization meeting to scientifically plan and comprehensively deploy the enrollment promotion efforts for 2025. The meeting was attended by members of the college’s leadership team, directors and deputy directors of various departments (centers), and heads of all offices at the Third Conference Room on the sixth floor of Hongyi Building on the North Campus. Other faculty and staff participated online.
Dean Wang Hainian pointed out that enrollment is the starting point of talent cultivation for both the university and the college. It is a crucial task that serves the national strategy of strengthening the country through talent, supports the university’s "Double First-Class" initiative, and contributes to the long-term development of the college. All faculty and staff must deeply recognize the importance of enrollment and engage in promotion efforts with a strong sense of responsibility and mission. Dean Wang comprehensively analyzed the current situation of enrollment work, highlighting both opportunities and challenges. He outlined the main strategies and reform tasks for enrollment promotion, emphasizing the need to improve the quality of incoming students as a breakthrough point. This will involve further optimizing the disciplinary structure and curriculum reform, innovating enrollment promotion models, and fully advancing the normalization, inclusivity, precision, and diversification of enrollment efforts. Dean Wang stressed that all faculty and staff should proactively leverage their individual strengths, actively participate in enrollment promotion, thoroughly familiarize themselves with relevant policies, and provide prospective students and parents with high-quality consulting services through enthusiastic attitudes, patient responses, and professional expertise.
The meeting clarified the goals and tasks for the college’s enrollment promotion efforts in 2025, further deepening faculty’s understanding of enrollment policies and enhancing their ideological awareness and work capabilities. In accordance with the meeting's deployment, the college will unify thinking, build consensus, define objectives, tackle challenges, and go all out to ensure the success of its enrollment promotion efforts. This will help attract more high-quality students and contribute to the high-quality development of the college’s talent cultivation endeavors.
