Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the review results of the centrally received application projects for the 2025 funding cycle. Our college has achieved remarkable success, with a total of 29 projects receiving funding. These include:
· 1 Young Scientists Fund (Category A, formerly known as the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars)
· 1 Key Program
· 15 General Program projects
· 12 Young Scientists Fund (Category C, formerly known as the Young Scientists Fund) projects
The total direct funding amounts to 17.39 million yuan. The number of approved projects has reached a record high, with a notable breakthrough in the Young Scientists Fund (Category A). Among the recipients, Professor Chen Jianxun was awarded a Key Program project, and Professor Luo Yanbin secured a Young Scientists Fund (Category A) project.
The college leadership has placed great emphasis on the NSFC application process. Leveraging the "organized research" mechanism, the college has consistently and diligently advanced the cultivation and submission of NSFC proposals. Multiple rounds of "proposal review sessions" and "experience exchange meetings" were organized, with senior experts from both within and outside the university invited to provide one-on-one guidance. Dean Wang Hainian visited various departments to offer targeted suggestions for refining and enhancing the proposals, striving for perfection in every application. By combining broad mobilization with precise guidance, the college strengthened process support and quality improvement, significantly elevating both the scale and standard of project applications.
