On the morning of June 10, the Highway College held a specialized meeting on undergraduate enrollment promotion in the Second Conference Room of the South Campus to thoroughly analyze the current enrollment situation and systematically deploy key tasks for the next phase. Attendees included Wang Yarong, Deputy Director of the University’s Admissions Office; Wang Hainian, Dean of the College; Zhang Jiupeng, Party Committee Secretary of the College; Luo Xiaoyu, Deputy Director of the Discipline and Professional Development Center; Li Guang, Teaching Supervisor for Professional Development; enrollment specialists, deputy department heads responsible for undergraduate teaching, and key enrollment staff. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Jiupeng.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the professional promotional video and proposed optimization suggestions to more accurately and vividly showcase the college’s educational characteristics, disciplinary advantages, and talent cultivation achievements. The discussion also covered the planning of this year’s enrollment promotion routes, emphasizing the need to precisely target key regions and high schools to enhance the breadth and depth of promotion efforts. Additionally, arrangements were made for the development and revision of enrollment promotional materials and the use of new media for enrollment promotion.
Dean Wang Hainian outlined clear requirements for enrollment promotion. He emphasized that enrollment work directly impacts the quality of talent cultivation and the prospects of disciplinary development. As this year marks the first year of the college entrance examination reform in Shaanxi Province, the entire college must attach great importance to enrollment efforts, focusing on the college’s disciplinary features and talent cultivation advantages to build an integrated "online + offline" promotional network.
He also stressed the need to select key enrollment personnel from among faculty and students to form a high-quality team familiar with professional characteristics,thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the college’s overall enrollment work.
Wang Yarong expressed full affirmation of the Highway College’s enrollment efforts. Drawing on the university’s overall enrollment policies and situation, she shared valuable experiences and suggestions, assuring that the Admissions Office would fully support the college’s efforts to jointly improve the quality of enrolled students.
Enrollment work serves as the "first gateway" to talent cultivation for the college. This meeting unified thoughts, clarified tasks, and built consensus, laying a solid foundation for the efficient and precise execution of the college’s undergraduate enrollment promotion in 2025. Starting from this meeting, the college will further integrate resources, innovate measures, and fully enhance the effectiveness of enrollment promotion to attract more outstanding students and inject strong momentum into the college’s high-quality development.
